Vaccines for health care workers

Updated Nov 4, 2026Clinician review pending

Have your vaccine records ready before onboarding starts.

In short

  • The CDC says all health care workers should be up to date on a set list of vaccines.[1]
  • That list is COVID-19, chickenpox, flu, hepatitis B, MMR and Tdap or Td.[1]
  • Meningococcal vaccine is also on it, especially for some lab workers.[1]
Why it matters

The CDC says workers who are near patients or handle infectious material should get these vaccines. They lower the chance of getting or spreading disease.[1]

Get ready before you go
  • Keep copies of your vaccine records and titers where you can find them fast.
  • Ask your agency early which records the facility needs.
  • Add onboarding to your Trips checklist.

Don't upload records to TravelCare+. We don't store health records.
